The Alumni Center is the main building for the Auburn Alumni Association and the Office of Development. It was built on the corner of College Street and Miller Avenue on the site of the former Phi Kappa Tau house. Construction began in the fall quarter of 1988.[1] The building opened on May 6, 1989 and was constructed with funds donated to the Alumni Association.[2] There is a walkway of inscribed bricks leading to the entrance. Individuals can purchase bricks and the funds are donated to the Auburn Alumni Association Endowment for Student Scholarships.[3] The building houses offices and meeting rooms.
