There are ten Quad residence halls in all, which can be divided into the regions of the Upper and Lower Quad.
Upper Quad[edit | edit source]
The Upper Quad is the northernmost area of the Quad, with four residence halls.
Lower Quad[edit | edit source]
The Lower Quad is the southernmost area of the Quad, with six residence halls.
- Letitia Dowdell Hall
- Marie Glenn Hall
- Mary Lane Hall
- Ella Lupton Hall
- Helen Keller Hall
- Marie Bankhead Owen Hall
Comparison[edit | edit source]
The Upper Quad is made up of Honors residence halls; the Lower Quad is newer, and more standardized in layout.
Every Quad building contains a kitchen; while the Upper Quad kitchens vary in location, the Lower Quad kitchens are all similarly placed on the second floor. Every Quad building features study rooms; Upper Quad buildings have one on each of the second and third floors, while Lower Quad buildings feature one on the second floor and two on the third floor. Lower Quad study rooms unfortunately cannot be permanently unlocked, and must be unlocked for every use by resident assistants. (Duct tape can be used to bypass the lock.)
