The ALFA Agricultural Services and Research Building (or just ALFA Building) is named after the Alfa Mutual Insurance Company, which, along with the Alabama Farmers Federation, donated funds to construct the building in 1996. The groundbreaking ceremony was August 29, 2002. The building was dedicated on July 21, 2004 at 10:15 AM.[1] This building is a research building, and houses the Soil Testing Labs, the Plant Diagnostic Lab, and the Genomics & Sequencing Laboratory.
