The Night Security Shuttle (alternatively called the Campus Security Shuttle or, informally, the Drunk Bus) is a free service provided by the Department of Public Safety and Security for transportation between on-campus locations only. The security shuttle runs between the hours of 6 pm to 7 am seven days a week while classes are in session, except on home football game evenings and official university holidays.[1]

The familiar white vans, topped by flashing yellow lights, provide a safe method of transportation at night, occasionally perhaps serving to discourage students from attempting to drive while intoxicated. One can summon a Shuttle by calling 334-844-7400. Alternatively, one can usually flag down a Shuttle that happens to be passing by.

One van in the Security Shuttle fleet is equipped for two wheelchair accessibility.[1]
