WMST (an abbreviation for Women's Studies) is a subject area taught at Auburn University.

WMST 2100 Introduction to Women's Studies 3 Interdisciplinary examination of the definitions of gender and impact of culture on the construction of gender. Diversity of representation, reflecting upon the histories of woman from a local and global perspective will be the keynote of the course.
WMST 3900 Directed Readings in Women Studies 1-3 Departmental approval. Directed study in an area of special interest. Course may be repeated for a maximum of 3 credit hours.
WMST 4980 Feminist Theory 3 Pr. WMST 2100. Departmental approval. Focus on the feminist theorists who have analyzed gender subordination. Students will become acquainted with a variety of the theorists and with the history of feminist activism.
WMST 5980 Feminist Theory 3 Pr. WMST 2100. Perspectives on feminist theory, with emphasis on intersections of race, class, sexual orientation, and gender as they affect women's position in culture.
WMST 6980 Feminist Theory 3 Pr. WMST 2100. Perspectives on feminist theory, with emphasis on intersections of race, class, sexual orientation, and gender as they affect women's position in culture.
WMST 7910 Teaching Practicum 1 Pr. (WMST 5980 or WMST 6980). Intended women's studies minor. Feminist pedagogical theory and practice. Course may be repeated for a maximum of 2 credit hours.
