Mail Services
Mail on the Auburn University campus is managed by Mail Services, part of the Facilities Division.
Mail for students in residence halls is sent to one of several mail rooms. Outgoing mail can be dropped off at these mail rooms or one of several postal boxes on campus. In the Student Center, there is a mail&go kiosk as well as an outgoing mail slot at the Foy Helpdesk. There is another mail&go kiosk at Foy Union and a third at Village Dining. There is a USPS collection box near Samford Hall and another in front of Toomer's Drugstore. There are also FedEx and UPS collection boxes on the north side of Spidle Hall, near the library. Personal mail can also be sent through metered mailboxes, provided it's already stamped and addressed.
Postage[edit | edit source]
You can purchase postage stamps at the bookstore, mail rooms, and most c-stores. The Student Center has a mail&go kiosk where you can purchase either stamps or paid postage labels. Global forever stamps are not available on campus, and international packages require a customs form.
Mailing address[edit | edit source]
To ensure students correctly receive their mail, the mailing address should be formatted as follows:[1][2]
Name of Resident
Name of Residence Hall
Room # or Box #
Street Address of Hall
Auburn, Alabama 36849
A complete listing of mailing addresses for residence halls can be found on the Auburn website.
Campus Mail[edit | edit source]
You can send mail to faculty and staff on campus for free. Campus mail envelopes are available in the Auburn University Bookstore. You need to write the recipient's name, department, and building on the envelope, as well as a return name, department, and building. There is a campus mail drop box at the Foy Helpdesk in the Student Center.
Metered Mail[edit | edit source]
Metered mail is an outgoing mail service provided to university departments. Postage is billed directly to the department.
